One of my friend’s sister is visiting Settle from India. I learned that she is an accomplished Kuchipudi dancer in India and is planning to open her own dance studio very soon, and she also needs to have some photos done for that. I absolutely love photographing dancers – so we planned for a photoshoot.
I chose the University of Washington, Seattle as the location. It has a mix of nice rustic architecture, fall colors and brick walls. In a word, lots of options. Unfortunately, we were stuck in traffic for a long time, and ended up starting the shoot really late. Thankfully I had my lights with me – and most of the photos towards the end of the shoot was shot in darkness.
Big kudos to Srivalli – she was standing in bare foot in cold and wet grass for long periods of time. I have no idea how.
